Media: Atresmedia

Atresmedia is the leading Communication Group in Spain.

Atresmedia has its origins in the creation of Antena 3, at the end of 1989, being the first private channel in Spain to begin broadcasting in January 1990. Over more than a decade, Antena 3 forged the DNA that led it to leadership, with programming focused on high-quality entertainment and fiction and an undeniable commitment to rigorous and truthful information. In the early 2000s, the company expanded in both radio and television with the addition of Onda Cero and the launch of two new channels: Antena.Neox (currently Neox) and Antena.Nova (currently Nova).

Thus, the corporation, under the presidency of José Manuel Lara Bosch, became the Antena 3 Group in those years, which would later be consolidated as a national audiovisual reference. Also, at the beginning of that decade, the Group's film production company was founded — in 2000 under the name Ensueño Films — which marked the beginning of a path characterized by the production of dozens of films, critical successes, awards, and box office leadership. Today, Atresmedia Cine is the spearhead of the national film industry. In July 2012, the Antena 3 Group merged with Gestora de Inversiones Audiovisuales laSexta, resulting in the birth of the Atresmedia Group.

In 2015, José Creuheras was appointed president of Atresmedia. In the following years, the company continued its growth and consolidation as the leading Spanish audiovisual group.

Currently, Atresmedia is structured around different divisions, all of them leaders in their respective fields. Atresmedia Televisión includes Antena 3, laSexta, Neox, Nova, Mega, and Atreseries, as well as atresplayer, the leading Spanish OTT platform. Along with the Television Division, the Group’s structure includes Atresmedia Radio (Onda Cero, Europa FM, and Melodía FM), Atresmedia Publicidad (responsible for advertising and commercial sales), and Atresmedia Diversificación (activities and businesses not dependent on advertising). In addition, in 2017, Atresmedia Studios, the Group's leading production company, was launched, incorporating Atresmedia Cine. In 2020, Atresmedia Studios grew and became Buendía Estudios, the result of the partnership between Atresmedia and Telefónica to create this new studio, jointly owned 50% by both companies.

Over the years, the Group has also stood out for the development of various Corporate Social Responsibility campaigns in favor of the society in which it operates, with initiatives such as Ponle Freno, Constantes y Vitales, Objetivo Bienestar, Hazte Eco, Crea Cultura, Tolerancia Cero, Levanta la cabeza, and Luz Verde.
