laSexta
laSexta stands out for its informative vocation and its commitment to society through innovative and creative programming. The channel, which began broadcasting in 2006 and merged with Atresmedia in 2012, has been advancing along these lines to become a reference in live broadcasting, with news programmes covering a large part of its daily schedule.
Thus, the channel not only has the editions of its laSexta Noticias news programmes, but also, through its news services, it produces spaces such as ‘Al Rojo Vivo’, ‘Más Vale Tarde’, ‘laSexta Clave’, ‘laSexta Columna’ and ‘laSexta Xplica’, among others. Along with this, it has other spaces dedicated to reporting and current affairs such as ‘Anatomía de…’, ‘Salvados’, ‘Lo de Évole’, ‘El Objetivo’, ‘Apatrullando’ and ‘Equipo de Investigación’, that delve into the issues of the past and the present.
But laSexta is also a guarantee of electoral information, as demonstrated by the extensive following achieved through its election specials, which have covered the main national and international electoral processes. In this sense, laSexta was the only Spanish channel to broadcast the CNN debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
Along with this, laSexta is committed to infotainment through spaces such as ‘El Intermedio’, ‘La Roca’ and 'Aruser@s', which dominates in its slot with undisputed leadership, and through pure entertainment with ‘Pesadilla en la cocina’ and ‘Zapeando’.
The channel, which champions the most advanced social commitment, runs a corporate responsibility initiative, Constantes y Vitales (dedicated to the promotion of scientific research and medical dissemination). It also supports the Crea Cultura initiative, in defence of cultural creation, through the Crea Lectura broadcast.
