Premi BBVA Sant Joan

The BBVA Sant Joan Prize (known as the Sant Joan Caixa Sabadell Prize until 2010), first awarded in 1981, is a literary competition open to all forms of narrative prose in Catalan: novel, storytelling, travel writing, memoirs, biography, diary, etc. Created by the Caixa Sabadell Foundation, the Sant Joan Prize is one of the most prestigious literary awards in Catalonia and one of the best endowed, with €35,000. The prize is awarded in June, close to the Sant Joan festivities, and is published in the autumn by Edicions 62 in Catalan.
