Austral publishes the finest works of universal literature in pocket paperback editions at an affordable price, and in special editions, with an exclusive format and design. It also brings together, in our collection for the school world, masterpieces of Spanish literature with an introduction and educational guide for students.

Today, with the same vocation of bringing knowledge and culture to the maximum number of readers, with a living catalogue of eight hundred titles and the endorsement of almost ninety years dedicated to book publishing, Austral continues to publish classics from all eras in its different collections. Successor to the original Austral in terms of design and chromatic distinction by literary genres, the current Clásica collection – the most extensive – brings together authors who died before the midpoint of the twentieth century while the Contemporánea collection brings together living authors or authors who died after that date. In addition to these two collections – the imprint’s main arteries – are those that have emerged in recent years:
