Edicions Destino

Since its beginnings in 1942, Destino has published works by the most renowned Catalan and international authors. Its editorial project combines prestige and creativity in fiction and essays in Catalan. A prime example is the publication of the complete works of Josep Pla (1897-1981), who mastered nearly all literary genres, with a Complete Works collection consisting of 47 volumes.

Since 1968, Destino has awarded the Premi Josep Pla every Epiphany evening, a prize that has honored authors such as Terenci Moix, winner of the first edition, Baltasar Porcel, Josep Maria Castellet, Maria Mercè Roca, Miquel de Palol, Empar Moliner, and more recently, Llucia Ramis, Cristian Segura, Rafael Nadal, and Genís Sinca.
